Image: Eden Project
The extraordinary Eden Project, the story behind it, and the content of the giant biomes make an unmissable day out for many visitors to Cornwall. Also worth checking in advance for special events - music sessions have included some major artists like Moby and Goldfrapp.
Image: Tate
A fair way west of us but St Ives makes an interesting daytrip & the Tate St Ives is a highlight along with the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden where some of her monumental work can be seen in her lovely garden just outside her studio which is preserved much as she left it.

Cornish Guardian & This Is Cornwall
Comprehensive local news and plenty of information about "what's on" in Cornwall. Run by the owners of the West Briton and the Cornish Guardian - the weekly papers serving West and North/East Cornwall respectively.

Rick Stein's Restaurants, Hotels, Cafe & Shop
From The Old Bakehouse, the best way to visit Padstow is to drive to Rock - 15 minutes away on the Camel Estuary - and take the ferry. Padstow is pretty lively all year round now partly due to Rick Stein's energy and profile. You can explore Rick's venues on his website.

The Old Mill House Inn, Trebarwith
Our nearest pub - only a mile away as the crow flies but about a 5-10 minute drive. Good food and drink. The Old Mill House Inn is a former UK Pub Of The Year. The White Hart at St Teath (a pretty village just inland) is a similar distance away.
